Craig Guild’s War of the Worlds Martian

This is my Pegasus Hobbies WOTW Martian diorama. I dry brushed the Martian with shades of brown, umber and hues of red and orange, and, with a steady hand, I blocked in the veins on the Martian’s arms and head with a flat blue mixed with yellow and gloss.

The base was base coated with a flat black/flat brown combination, the dry brushed with progressively lighter shades to bring out the detail.

With the Martian Eye, it was base coated with flat black, and dry brushed with a flat copper, and I detailed the Eye’s interior.

he Martian comes with two sets of arms for two very different poses. The model plugs together so well that I didn’t even find it necessary to use glue!

It’s about time that a decent model of this character has been released, and that it’s a model that will not disappoint fans of the film!
