Cesare Tatarelli’s Batcopter

I’m really pleased with the results of this kit conversion to a Batcopter. I took some liberties with the color scheme and some details but overall I’d say this is a decent representation of the dynamic duo’s 60’s TV chopper.

I couldn’t find a MASH ‘copter specifically as many have suggested to use for the conversion, so I used an OH-13S Sioux from ITALERI. I’ve never built one of their kits before, but I’ll certainly do another one. It just seemed to be of excellent quality, all the parts fitting very nicely.

The kit is 8″ long and the wing tips span 5 1/2 “. All the decals are hand painted onto clear water slide decal paper and the wings are made from sheet styrene. So if its accuracy you’re interested in this project falls a little short but it looks great on my shelf next to my restored Corgi Batmobile!
