Bob Kimball’s AT-AT

I built this diorama for my brother in law this past Christmas. He’s addicted to the video game “Rogue Squadron”, and he’s a Star Wars nut.Anyway, a good friend gave me the AT-AT from a diorama kit that came out with the original movie release. I used a fine steel rod for the tow cable, because wire was too weak.

The snow speeder came with the kit,and the pilot came in a micro machines set. I know he’s way out of scale, but I just had to have a couple of pilots on the ground. Notice the one face down in the snow in the above angle shot.The snow is Durham’s water putty. Cheap and easy to use.

Anyway, I thought the gravity defying illusion was really cool-except when it jiggles.
