Bill Early’s Eagles

These are a couple of AMT Ertl eagles that have been heavily modified. I used most of the tips that Jim Small has written about. I found them in an article in SCI FI and Fantasy International magazine. I also cut out most of the forward and aft cage work and replaced it with tube and rod. The jack pads for all the pods were made out of sheet plastic, tube, and rod using reference photos. I scratch built the spine boosters and made the lab pod over the kit pod.

The glider was scratch built using pictures I found in the SPACE 1999 Catacombs web site. I was not able to locate any pictures of the mounting frame, so I just built one that I thought looked right.
