Al Murray’s Alien figures

Both these kits started off as the standard Alien kits, I decided to change them as they were a bit lifeless. They were hacked to bits at the joints and rebuilt using a combination of model filler and car resin. The photo makes them look like they belong on a dance floor, though.  Paint was enamel with a high gloss varnish for that wet look.

The same technique as the aliens above but on a much bigger scale. As well as reposing the neck, arms and legs, the jaw was opened and teeth added (all separate), the tail and fingers were curved to add to a more menacing look. Acrylic paint was used for a more translucent look. High gloss used for the topcoat.
