New Pilot

It appears this project is on hold. After the 9-11 attack, much of the entertainment industry shut down the projects they had in development, including Formerly Famous
The pilot of the new
show from the producers of Sherman Oaks was taped at the end of September. The program is now called "Formerly Famous" and, focuses on a family of producers in the business of
"reality TV".
This satirical series will see the return of Sherman Oaks veterans Phyllis Katz, Tyler Bearde, and Nick Toth, as well as a group of talented new
faces. .Phyllis plays a female producer and Nick plays a network executive. Tyler plays a "dorky" executive assistant. Look for Heather Elizabeth-Parkhurst to make an
appearance as well.
The show is created by the man behind Sherman Oaks, Chris Bearde, and written by former Sherman Oaks writer Jayne Hamil. Hamil also
wrote and produced Fran Drescher's series, The Nanny, for three years. The project is backed by Vin Di Bona's production company and will be distributed both domestically and
internationally.
The original working title for this pilot was "The Decline and Fall of Integrity."
