This is my Herb Deeks Flash G. Rocketship. This was the most fun I ever had building a resin kit. It's a clean easy build and I'd recommend it to anyone. After basic clean up and just a little sanding I built it straight from the box (except for a few quick extra simulated rivets) in less than 3 nights! I just used a pin vise to drill extra tiny rivet like holes.

I wanted a unique finish that had a "30's feel" and achieved it by using Rustoleom's Hammered Steel spray paint. This not only gives it a great almost cast look, but covers any imperfections in the resin! I then airbrushed some highlights on the high spots with Model Master chrome silver, weathered the exhaust and some of the areas of depth, or where it needed a sense of such, and the canopy windows by lightly airbrushing very thinned Model Master aircraft interior black, then barely misted a little thinned Tamiya clear blue around the exhaust and the underbelly of the ship to give it that "metal got real hot" look. A couple of thin coats of Model Master semi-gloss lacquer and it was done.

I know I over worked the airbrushing a bit, but it was just too much fun adding character to such a simple design. Fun!
