Three Stooges in Orbit

Three Stooges In Orbit [Columbia, 1962] is a typically flaky film as Moe, Larry, & Curly Joe try to prevent Martians from stealing a submarine-like craft with tank treads and helicopter blades from a nutty professor.

This model was scratch built and also kit bashed from five different kits.

  • The body is a PBY-2 Catalina by Academy models 1/72 scale
  • The anchors & props are from the Smit Rotterdam by Heller models.
  • The tank threads are from a German WWII Anti-Aircraft Tank from Academy models.
  • The tank wheels are from a RSO/1 Battle Tractor by Testers.
  • The rotor blades are from a Sikorsky HH-60D Night Hawk helicopter by Hasegawa.
  • The control room, gun, fins & engine are scratch built.
