I had made a few kit models of Stingray and Thunderbirds and like you, like to see them just like the real thing.   I then made a 12" Movie Dalek made by SEvans and on completing I said to the wife I would love to make a full size one, why don't you then was her reply.  So six weeks and £475 later there he/she was, a black and gold supreme Dalek.  As you can see the lights are the wrong shape for the movie version, just could not find something that would do the job at the time, so I stuck to the standard shape TV style, mini indicator lights. Some 8 years later, last year in fact I changed the Dalek into a TV version silver and blue, although the exterminator gun is now slightly wrong plus a few other things that only hams would pick up on. Its mainly made of ply, mdf, fibreglass, aluminium, and the domes are plastic system floats cut down.
