Michael Walker's 'Bad Career Move' Batman diorama

mwbatdiorama

The Batmobile in the diorama is a stock AMT kit.  All the chrome parts were stripped and repainted in various Polly-S Metalic shades. The car was painted with Testors "Metalizer" Body color, and oil washes.  The policeman is a Verlinden stock figure,  painted with Tamiya and oil blending, shading and washes.  The building was scratchbuilt using Foamcore with spray texture.  Plastistruct shapes make up the store front, roll up door, lintels and built up column.  Also uses Verlinden wharf elements, BB tube sewer pipe, lions' head earings, and various tank, aircraft, and auto kit parts.   Finally the base is made from Verlinden cobblestone, 400 grit sandpaper for the road, carved Jiffy foam sidewalk and column base, various 1/25 scale junk parts, and  Verlinden papers and movie posters.  The paint is a Tamiya finish with oil washes and drybrushing, scale rubble, and pastel weahtering.
