Wonderfest 2016 – 20 Years of CultTVman

culttvman20years

The CultTVman website celebrates 20 years on the internet this year.    What started as a simple website in 1996 grew into a loose group of friends and model builders from all over the country and around the world.   In 1998, a few of us made plans to attend Wonderfest in Louisville – Marc King, Kirk Schermerhorn, John Lester, Jay Chladek (and I know there were other folks).    We’d kinda heard that it was this really cool convention, centered around monster models, with incredible guests like Ray Harryhausen.    We all had a blast and we’ve been coming back every year since.  This will be my 19th trip to the show.

To celebrate these 20 years, year we’ll be offering discounts on most of the plastic kits we’ll have at the show including the Space 1999 Eagle, Bandai Star Wars kits, the Seaview, Munsters House, Lost in Space Pod, Iron Man, the Enterprise, and more!

We’ll have a wide selection of light kits from VoodooFX, TenaControl, and Madman.  We’ll have Paragrafix photoetch and Aztek Dummy paint masks.  Detail parts from Don’s Light & Magic and decals from JTGraphics and Acreation.  We’re bringing Space kits from New Ware, and decals from Space Model Systems.  There will be plenty of back issues of Sci-Fi & Fantasy Modeller, including the Modelling the Eagle magazine.  Plus the Fine Scale Modeler Star Trek issue.

I’ll have plenty of kits from Red Planet, including the Graveyard Scenes, Sci-Fi Scenes, Cult’s Creepy Castle kits and some Monsters of the Movies figures.   There will be some premium action figures from Executive Replicas.  Resin kits from Atomic City.   I’ll have imported kits from Japan including Aoshima’s Thunderbirds and Wave’s flying saucers.

There’s a little something for everyone.

You’re also invited to visit the CultTVman Suite.  We’ll have food and beverages on Friday and Saturday night.  I’ll have a small number of CultTVman pins and pens to share.

CultTVman is also sponsoring the appearance of Nick Tate from Space 1999.   Be sure to visit him at the show.

Don’t forget, this is Wonderfest!   The biggest and best model of it’s kind.   Check out the incredible models in the contest room.  Attend some of the presentations and seminars.   Enjoy some of the evening entertainment.  Meet the guests.  Hang out for the Sunday night wrap event.   Catch up with old friends and make new friends.    What makes Wonderfest great is all the wonderful people at the show.

See you this weekend in Louisville!
