I have kind of a one off item…something I am sure MANY people who bought an old Mattel Space 1999 Eagle probably wanted to do. They were a fun toy for kids and we all have nostalgia regarding this toy. It was, however, dreadfully inaccurate. I bought one in a collectibles store back in 1997 and spent 6 months trying to accurize it and make it actually look like the Eagle. I ended up scratch building and kit bashing most of it but you can see which parts (though heavily modified) I kept. It is about 34 inches in length and is made of styrene plastic ( LOADS of Evergreen brand plastic card and tubing, as well as domes from Plastruct). I have shown it at multiple sci fi cons and even had a picture taken of me and Barry Morse (Professor Bergman) from the show holding it. He loved it and even said it looked better than some of the shooting miniatures. I knew better but what a nice compliment huh?
