We’ve been busy packing and shipping the new Refit Enterprise kits from Polar Lights/Round 2. This has been an extremely hot kit and we’re still overwhelmed with shipping them. We should be fully caught up with orders by Monday. I thank you for your patience while we pack and pack and pack.
For those of you that placed an “early bird” preorder for the kit, you’ve had the opportunity to purchase the new Refit for $14.95. That’s a considerable discount over the current retail price. Right now we’re taking early bird preorders on the upcoming new Battlestar Galactica kit from Moebius. The early bird price is $29.95, considerably less than what it will be when it comes out. I can’t offer this price for much longer, so you may want to reserve your kit now.
We continue to have problems with some people not submitting payment for their preorders. If you place a preorder, and expect me to buy a kit for you, you really need to be prepared to pay for it when the time comes! Also, please don’t place multiple orders for the same kit. Some people placed 4 or more separate orders for the same model. Some people places 6 orders for the refit for as many as 15 kits. You only need to submit your preorders once! Thanks!
The Mysterious Moth Creature
A couple websites are soliciting preorders for a new kit from Moebius Models called the “Moth Creature.” What is the “Moth Creature?” Well, I can tell you this much… you won’t be disappointed by it. I’m hoping to have some more details soon. Moebius should have some new kit news very soon.
The metal Jupiter 2 display model
Moebius Models was showing a new display model at Toy Fair last week of the Jupiter 2. This is an prebuilt, metal hull display model based on the Moebius Jupiter 2 kit. The model will also have a fully lit interior and 3 speed fusion core. The landing gear will be metal and the whole thing will weigh about 19 pounds. The price is expected to be in the range of $1000 to $1200. You can see photos posted at Action Figure Insider along with the Moonbus, Viper, Wonder Woman and Superboy!
Fighter Mk 2 detail sets
Paragrafix is already with a new photoetch and decal set for the upcoming Moebius kit. This set features engine details, cockpit details and engine piping. The decals include cockpit markings as well as a sheet of backlight graphics.
Aztek Dummy is ready for this kit as well with a set of vinyl paint masks for painting the stripes on your model.
Galaxy Quest!
Pegasus Hobbies will have their Protector and Ion Nebulizor/VOX Communicator prebuild display models out this week. These come in display boxes, just like the previous Martian War Machines. I’ll be sending out notices to everyone that preordered to pay for these in the next few days.
Paragrafix has a set of photo etch detail designed for use with the Protector. This features engine grills, landing craft detail and a hanger bay.
