Jim Apitz's 1966 Batmobile

This 1966 Batmobile includes many scratchbuilt parts, such as an aluminum dashboard, aluminum beacon cage, and a handbuilt interior complete with accurate gadgets. Although not readily visible in the photos, I simulated a gasket between the canopy "glass" and the frames. Photo etched parts include the grills front and rear, door handles, rear speakers, telescoping front antenna (which actually does go up and down) and the afterburner wrap. I modified the kit's hood to more closely resemble the car's real lines.
