Jim Apitz' Batmissile

jabr1t

Here are photos of my Batmissle from Batman Returns.. I built this one right out of the box, but added a little detail to the wheel areas with some metal wire.

The model has a unique finish that happened completely by accident. In a moment of insanity, I started to paint the car with Krylon satin  black without a primer coat. The paint started to attack the plastic immediately. Fortunately, I was able to strip the paint off before it did any real damage. I polished the plastic with automotive polishing compound to remove the minor damage caused by the paint. It left a rather nice sheen on the car that I liked so I left it that way.
