Aviel Tochterman's Kazon Torpedo

This model does not hold any surprise for the builder, and its instructions are quite straight forward. The parts connect quite well, but need some filling and sanding. Don't connect the two torpedo shaped thingies mounted ontop till after painting, or you won't have access for painting underneath them!
Since it's quite a straight forward kit, and since the Kazon don't keep their ships spit-shined, the most work was done with the paint. After filling & sanding I painted two layers of sand-brown. Then I painted the panel edges with medium gray and added various details. The Kazon emblem decals were applied at this point, to be filthed with the rest of the ship. I filthed it using dry brush technique, with a flat brush & various colors (black, reds, greens, etc.) spreading the filth from the panels' edges backwards for non-uniform and non-symetrical filth & dust accumulated during flight & fight... An overall matt coting, and than painted some non-matt details (various lights, etc.).

All and all, quite a snappy model, built in an afternoon, when several more needed for the paint job.
